Ricky Swallow – The Sculptor
Ricky Swallow is an Australian artist born at San Remo, Australia. His unique art uses ordinary materials to create precisely rendered objects that are then cast in bronze. The unique works that result are expressions not only of the objects’ constructed forms, but also of the process of transformation by which an intert gruping of things becomes a sculpture. This is how his art is deseribed in David Koransky Gallery website – https://www.davidkordanskygallery.com.

Bhutanese Students Prefer Australia.
Australia reopens its borders to international students, and Reuters says it has started an influx from Bhutan. With 12000 long – term arrivals moving there in the 11 months to May alone, it represented 1.5% of the country’s population. The courses they prefer are childcare, hospitality, and accounting.
Another interesting fact about Bhutan is its periodical surveys of happiness. Bhutan measures happiness by periodically surveying about 10% of the population and compiling stats that fall under nine domains – living standard, health, education, environment, community, time-use, psychological well-being, governance and culture. Children are taught environment protection. 4 pillars of happiness are fair and sustainable socio-economic development, conservation and promotion af a vibrant culture, environmental protection, and good governance.

Ukraine today
Ukraine has intensified attacks on the Russian army and captured Staromaiorske in Southeast Ukraine on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Russian President Putin also acknowledged the intensification of Ukrainian attacks on Russian TV but said that it has not made any headway.
While United24media on ‘Telegram’ reported that Georgian citizens protesting against the Astoria Grande cruise ship with Russian tourists on board departed from the Georgian city of Batumi two days ahead of schedule under pressure from local protesters.

While there are difficulties in ascertaining the correctness of the news flowing in on social media, the news quoted by officials is apt to consider as authentic. RT report – The Moscow city, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, said the early hours of Friday that the Russian troops have destroyed a Ukrainian drone heading towards Moscow Sobyanin wrote on his Telegram channel that “There was an attempted attack by an enemy drone, which has been shot down,” adding that “no damage or casualties”. The Russian Defense Ministry later released a statement, saying that the drone was aiming for “the sites on the territory of the Moscow Region” before it was neutralized by air defenses.
The official channel of Ukrainian President Zelensky – Zelenskiy/Official has written about the recent Russian attack onMedusa – ‘The consequences of Russian terror against Odesa. Destruction of Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral, the largest Orthodox church in Odesa and one of the most valuable churches in Ukraine. A Russian missile hit the altar – it was completely destroyed and the entire structure of the building was damaged.
Architecture experts are currently working to assess the possibility of restoring the church. I am grateful to our parners in Europe for their willingness to join the reconstruction.
Most importantly, the Kasperov Icon of the Mother of God has been saved, and the Heart of the church is alive.
The Chanel on ‘Telegram’ has published president’s brief message to fellow countrymen as follows:
“I had the honor to congratulate Ukrainian doctors and nurses, frontline medics on their professional holiday. I awarded the best ones. But I am grateful to everyone who stays in our cities and villages, in the frontline areas, who work on the frontline, on whom the life of Ukraine really depends.
In the morning, I held a meeting of the staff. As always, we discussed key issues of our defence, protection of our skies and our cities.
Mykolaiv has a lot of issues that need to be resolved for people, including in the regional hospital.\Ochakiv – I thank our doctors working there. They are real heroes!
Odesa – an important conversation took place in the presence of the Minister of Health with Commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Tetiana Ostashchenko. We talked about issues that are of great concern to our combat medics, our warriors.
We are looking to air defense systems to protect Odesa and our entire south. And, I am grateful to everyone in the world who has already joined us in this endeavor!
Glory to Ukraine!

Bengaluru became the first Indian city to be a member of the World Cities Culture Forum. The World Cities Culture Forum was founded in 2012 by Justine Simons OBE, London’s Deputy Mayour For Culture and the Creative Industries. This includes 40 cities across the world like Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Austin, Barcelona, Brasilisa, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Chengdu, Dubai, Dublin Edinburgh, Guangzhou, Hamburg, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Lagos, Lisbon, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Milan , Montreal. Nanjing, New York, Oslo, Paris, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Seoul, Stockholm, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo, Toronto, Vancouver, Vienna, Warsaw, Zurich. The World Cities Culture Forum WCCF provides a way for policy makers in some 40 cities to share research and intelligence and explore the vital role of culture in their future prosperity. Rapid urbanisation means that by 2030, two-thirds of the world’s population will live in cities. The very speed of change is unprecedented, and governments are facing indreasingly complex challenges. Many of the great policy issues of our age, from tackling climate change to promoting social equality, are being led at the city rather than the national level. Sustainable Urban Development can set a global agenda now if the intercity starts to share a common platform. WCFC conducts comparative research to measure the impact and importance of culture and creativity and shares it with the forum so partner cities can make evidence based policy decisions. The Forum patners collaborate via aprograme of events including themed symposia, regional summit, and workships. These events feed into the annual world cities culture summit. Hosted on a roataing basis by partner cities.,this unique gathering allows city leaders to share ideas and knowledge about the role of culture as an organising principle for the sustainable city of the future.
