World: In Brief

☆ NATO is in its 75th year. NATO’s origins are embedded in the uplifting of WW2  devastated Europe. The Marshall plan, which was basically an economical aid ( 13.3 Billions to Western European economies by the US) plan for the crumbling European nations, later on formed a prelude to a military alliance promising security from the future military uncertainties. It surely allowed many European and North American nations to prosper by concentrating on social welfare programs instead of the huge investments in arms and armies, and is shrewdly used by the US and Soviets to nurture their own philosphies and interests.

But have the Europeans, Americans, and Russians and other numerous countries blinded by blind developments of developed nations really accepted peace , harmonious, and sustainable developments ? Or even thought to follow  brotherhood and respect to nature and humanity? There will be uncountable analyses of failures or successes of NATO. The glaring, harsh truth is the short visioned knee jerking temporary reactions and problem solving irrespective of human and material loss with expansionist motives is continued.

Earlier, an evolving trend was seen in humans on the globe coming close, joining together with increased cultural and scientific interactions to form a true human race on the planet. In fact, the devastating epidemic caused by an ultra microscopic virus gave rise to a false perception of human race coming together, understanding the  vanity of human existence.

But the truth points out differently by the visible shameless  use of the multinational alliances on different pretext of either as deterrent or furthering trade and politics. In fact, it is the methods of hegemonic expansion,trade and profits that are evolving, and donning different avatars than human well-being and future!

☆ Elections are over in India, South Africa, Iran, the United Kingdom, and France. In India, it chastised a self chest thumping hollow ruling BJP and perhaps succeed in bringing it on track. In Iran, it hardly made any difference except change of shoulders as the majority of the nation is in blinding religious spells fuelled by irrational Western actions instigated by the US – The mass feelings consolidating by suicidal, brutal, savage and inhuman Israel bent on Palestine genocide. The mighty super colonist past superpowers are confused after they have been engaged in ruthlessly exploiting other continents and filling their coffers last century. The African nations and their despotic leaders are still made to put their national economic produce in banks of these civilized great announcers of democracy.

As democracy is used as their people’s will ( they have to grant it reluctantly to people- these modern incarnations of old feudal barons, satraps, and ruthless Kings!), these ruling elites, hardly practiced democratic values internationally. And, now, confused whether they are Rightist, Centrist or Leftist, and rudderless in moral and intellectual bankruptcy. (Perhaps human migration is becoming the greatest contemporary issue outnumbering  environment).It is  pointless to monotonously sing glorified tunes of personal liberty without embracing other priceless novelties of true Democracy.

Countries in the Middle East are fast stripping off their oil rich past garb, donning more pro people, tolerant and pro- science approach for long-term survival.

The world is changing. It is becoming unipolar, bi- polar, multi polar with senile, dementia laddened, amoral, haughty, non scientific, sham democrats and socialist, zealot and despotic leaders guiding us further…. the world is not changing!
