Failing health and being tested positive for covid-19 in the midst of a hot and competitive election campaign was just too much for the now frail politician veteran. Kamala Harris, Vice President, will now take on former President Trump. The elections are on November 1, 2024.

Ukraine prohibits transport of Russian crude to Hungary , Czech Republic, and Slovakia!
Ukraine imposed a ban on the transit of oil from Russian Lukoil through its territory. The Druzhba pipeline transports oil to Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Hungary has the presidency of the Council of the European Union, and its Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited the rival camp of Putin , Xi Jin Ping, adding to controversy to Hungarian stance of opposing Western military aid to Ukraine. Robert Fico, the Slovac prime minister, has opposed NATO membership to Ukraine and expressed Ukraine to give land to Russia to end the war.
