🔴According to an IDF situational assessment and the intelligence in our possession, the rocket launch toward Majdal Shams was carried out by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.
The Hezbollah terrorist organization is behind the rocket launch at a soccer field in Majdal Shams which caused multiple civilian casualties, including children, earlier this evening.

Hezbollah is a Lebanese Shia Islamist political and military organization. Here’s a brief overview:⬇️
The group was formed in 1982 during the Lebanese Civil War and emerged as a resistance movement against Israeli occupation and said to be supported by Iran and Syria. The group’s ideology is Shia Islamist, Anti-Western, and anti-Israeli, which supports Palestinian rights and resistance. Estimated military prowess is in the form of 10,000-20,000 fighters, armed with rockets, missiles, and small arms, and has fought against Israel in 2006 and involved in the Syrian Civil War, too. The group wields considerable political clout as it has been a part of the Lebanese government since 2005 and holds significant influence in Lebanese politics. Hezbollah has been designated as a terrorist organization by several countries, including the US and Canada. Hezbollah has a major influence in the area due to social services and support to Shia communities in Lebanon,operating schools, hospitals, and charities. The group was founded by Abbas al-Musawi, Subhi al-Tufayli, and others, currently led by Hassan Nasrallah.
