As feared by many and forewarned by more, the Middle-East Israel-Hamas  war is escalating into much broader regional conflict. There may not be huge strikes involving soldiers. Instead, a proxy war utilizing terrorists or fighters group and gradual increase in missile attacks, skirmishes, and attacks on foreign soil are likely. The recent killing of the number of  Hezbollah leaders and Hamas political chief  leader Haniyeh in Iran seemingly set the tone of the events to a point of no return. The public opinion and political perception of the area is growing steadily anti-American over its silence and as many in the area accuse of – support to Israel attacks on Palestinians. Though US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris made conciliatory statements, it is too late. US bolster its strategic presence by sending more weapons and naval ships to its bases. Russia and her relations with Iran and Syria, China’s increasing influence that was seen in the success of arranging a meet between Hamas , Hezbollah, and others on post-war power sharing before peace returns speak amply of its penetration in the region. These two  will see that the rift in the region and the US widens. Turkey’s ambitions to be a leader and Messiah was never concealed, but their accusation of an Indian helping in the killing of Hamas leader in Iran is seemingly far-fetched. It is never firm with its principled stand and keeping relations with all sides. A member of NATO. Recently roared to invade Israel, negotiator in prisoner swap, Ukraine grain transport playing cards cunningly. Jordan is silent. Egypt, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia do not make moves openly and play their roles covertly. Their startagic policies and pro-western angle also play a decisive role. Other countries prod their citizen in the war zone to leave immediately. Link ⬇️

The Balooch Struggle

The Baloch struggle in Pakistan is a complex issue with a long history. The Baloch people, who inhabit the Balochistan province, have long sought greater autonomy and control over their resources. This struggle has been marked by periods of relative peace and open conflict.
Historical Background:

British Raj: Balochistan was divided into princely states under British rule. After India’s independence, some of these states joined Pakistan, while others became part of Iran or Afghanistan. The cunning of British and a betraying Jinnah with short sightedness of the then Baloch ruler  saw Baloch land split and took over by Pakistan .

Forced Integration: Pakistan forcibly annexed the Baloch territories, leading to resentment and a sense of marginalization among the Baloch people.

Resource Exploitation: Balochistan is rich in natural resources, particularly natural gas. However, the Baloch people feel that they are not fairly compensated for these resources and that the benefits primarily flow to other parts of Pakistan.
Key Issues:

Autonomy: The Baloch people seek greater autonomy within Pakistan or, in some cases, complete independence.

Resource Control: They demand a larger share of the revenue generated from Balochistan’s resources.

Human Rights: The Baloch people have faced human rights abuses, including enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and torture, allegedly at the hands of Pakistani security forces.

Underdevelopment: Balochistan remains one of Pakistan’s most underdeveloped regions, with poor infrastructure, education, and healthcare facilities.
Recent Developments:

Ongoing Conflict: A low-level insurgency continues in Balochistan, with attacks on security forces and infrastructure.

Human Rights Concerns: The issue of human rights abuses in Balochistan has gained international attention, with organizations like Amnesty International raising concerns.

Dialogue Efforts: There have been attempts at dialogue between the Baloch leadership and the Pakistani government, but these have yielded mixed results.

BANGLADESH ENGULFED IN VIOLENCE

Bangladesh is engulfed in  violence that started with students protesting over the reservation policy and increased in intensity though the government agreed and culminated into demanding resignation of the Prime Minister.

Bangladesh violence- background

Reasons for the Violence in Bangladesh

Protests Against the Government: The recent violence in Bangladesh is a result of protests against the government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina . The protests began last month as students demanded an end to a quota system for government jobs, but have since escalated into a wider anti-government movement.

Quota System for Government Jobs: The quota system, which reserved 30% of government jobs for the families of veterans who fought in Bangladesh’s war of independence against Pakistan in 1971, was a major point of contention. The country’s Supreme Court scaled back the quota system to 5% of jobs, with 3% for relatives of veterans, but protests have continued.

  • Demand for Prime Minister’s Resignation: The protesters are now demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who has been in power for over 15 years . The government has accused the opposition parties and their student wings of instigating the violence.
  • Government Crackdown: The government has responded to the protests with force, imposing a curfew, shutting down internet services, and arresting thousands of people . The crackdown has led to further violence and clashes between protesters and security forces.
  • Opposition Parties: The main opposition party, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, and the now-banned Jamaat-e-Islami party have been accused of instigating the violence. However, the opposition parties have denied these allegations and have called for the government to step down. With these facts, how Bangladesh came into existence should be considered. When Eastern Pakistan was accorded partial treatment and looked down as inferior by the ruling Western Pakistani junta headed by Yahya Khan, widespread anger and resentment ran in the population. And when Sheikh Mujib Ur Rehman’s Awami party won the elections, the results suppressed, and the Pakistani army under Yahya Khan’s orders under ‘Operation Searchlight’ code name entered eastern Pakistan started a terrible genocide with the involvement of local radical religious militia and tens and thousands flee to India ( nearly 10 million)from harsh atrocities in the form of massacre arson, rape the army and the fanatics inflicted upon their own  hapless citizen. The Bengali guerrilla formed Mukti Bahini to fight the Pakistani army. The Pakistani army countering the Mukti Bahini soon started backtracking and made preemptive air strikes in Northern India, drawing Indian army into conflict. Awami leaders went underground and somehow saved their lives. The Indian Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi, appealed to the international community and to the West in particular of the injustice with the democratically elected Awami league and increasing refugee influx and the economic burden it was creating on India. As the West refused and conditions started to become more serious, Bangladesh Mukti Sena( Bangladesh Freedom Army), with the help of  Indian Army, drove away the Pakistan army from Eastern Pakistan and carved out Bangladesh.  Pakistan and fanatics in Bangladesh still do not agree with the creation of Bangladesh. The present government had met out punishment by giving the death penalty to those who were live and  involved in atrocities on the Bangladeshis before independence. This act and closeness to India made the present ruling government of Bangladesh unpopular with Pakistan and fanatics, and their instigation is the main reason why not the violent protests are subsided, though the government agreed with the protestors demands.

Great Britain

The conditions in Great Britain have not yet returned to normal. The riots are spread and still uncontrolled. The far right racial groups are targeting Muslims, immigration. Prime Minister Keir Starmer acknowledged and said,” People in this country have a right to safe, and yet we’ve seen Muslim communities targeted, attacks on mosques.” Link ⬇️
