Ukraine’s crossing over!
A daring and surprising border incursion by Ukraine into Russian territory caught Russia off balance.
After an emergency declared in the Kursk region , now Belgorod, too, followed amid heavy Ukrainian shelling! The Ukrainian spokesman from foreign ministry has cleared that Ukraine has no intention to occupy the area, and many believe that the incursion is to slow down the Russian aggression in the eastern part of Ukraine.
Whether this incursion proves temporary or a real shift in the war will get cleared in a few days. The Russians will fortify the next area in the Ukrainian sight, and along with that, they will speed up further incursion in Eastern Ukraine, where they have made recent gains.
The world focus will be on the presence of the Ukrainian army in the Russian territory. Whether Ukraine can bolster this front with ration and supply of more sophisticated technical warfare from West or retreat back remain to be seen.
In the first scenario, the war will become more lethal, straining Russian strength and perhaps open doors for negotiations. In the second scenario, the war will drag on, making the incursion useless.
